A Thriller of a Good Time in Sacramento
Former Rapid City Thrillers and current Sacramento Kings head coach Eric Musselman was arrested for DUI early Saturday.
Musselman was pulled over at 2:15 a.m. about 11/2 miles from the State Capitol after his car was seen making a right-hand turn from the left-hand lane and cutting off another vehicle, said California Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Evan Williams.Driving a Mercedes 1 1/2 miles from the State Capital? He sure has come a long way from his time with the Thrillers. Ten years ago he would have been fine driving his pick up 1 1/2 miles from the South Dakota State Capital because there are only two lanes and five people driving that time of night. I guess the increased threat of DUI is the price you pay for the night life in Old-Sac. Eric, as a South Dakotan who has spent some time in downtown Sacramento, get a cab next time. Also, be sure to visit the Pyramid Alehouse when your boozing it up in the capital city.
Another man and two women were in Musselman's Mercedes. They were released, Williams said.
The 41-year-old coach failed three sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.11, according to the arrest report. The legal limit is 0.08.
